Hi Owners,
The Milkybar Kid lined up for his second trial this morning and put in another impressive performance.
Today’s trial was a step up for him, trialling amongst open class horses. He jumped well, led the field and was only run down late by a more experienced stable mate, with a gap to third.
You can watch the replay above, as well as jockey Regan Bayliss’ thoughts on the trial.
Hi Owners,
Everything Nice showed good improvement at her second run for the preparation, finishing 3rd at Bendigo today.

You can watch jockey Liam Riordan’s thoughts on the race above.
Mat decided this morning to scratch Faraway Tree due to the wide barrier, and instead hopes to race her Friday at Geelong.
Hi Owners,
Your Written By x Sunday Rose colt has returned to Newington Farm for a spell following 4 weeks of work. He’s settled nicely in a paddock with his mates.
He’s already a big and strong colt and the team expect him to continue to fill out during his time out.
Hi Owners,
Rock Chant ran a solid race today despite finishing 6th. She jumped really well and continued to kick at the top of the straight, but got tired late as a result of the heavy track and a lack of race fitness.
You can watch jockey Rachel King’s analysis as well as Bjorn Baker’s thoughts above.
Bjorn expects her to really benefit from the run. He’ll be in touch with an update on Monday.
Hi Owners,
Your Extreme Choice x Involving filly is handling her orientation in the stable really well. She’ll spend another two weeks at Ballarat before heading out for another spell.
Click above to view a video of her enjoying a canter at Ballarat this morning.
Hi Owners,
Tony McEvoy has provided an update on Deep Point.
The stable were considering running Deep Point at Morphettville next week, however they’ve identified a couple of races back in Victoria with some nice Super VOBIS bonuses on offer.
He’ll travel back to Ballarat on Monday in preparation for the Jack Maher Classic at Wodonga over 1200m on Saturday May 28. This will be a lead in race to the Elvstroem Classic over 1300m at Swan Hill on June 10. Both of these races provide good prize money options with big Super VOBIS bonuses on offer.
Videos left to right: Darksaber jump out and jockey (be aware – audio jumps up very loud half way through), Tanto jump out and jockey, Archer County, Everything Nice, Faraway Tree, Freewheeler, Rocked, Silent Angel, Sword of Honour
Hi Owners,
Darksaber and Tanto both had impressive jump outs this morning. Both are in the Hesket lime-green silks, though visibility is low due to the rain.
Darksaber particularly impressed jockey Damien Thornton, who reported post-race “I didn’t know he could go that fast!” The added blinkers seems to have really switched the colt on.
We caught up with Mat Ellerton out at his Flemington stables earlier in the week to get an update on the Super Stable horses. There is currently 10 of the 26 Super Stable horses in work at Flemington with several of them starting to hit the racetrack. Exciting times ahead! You can view these videos above.
